Loctite 648 je určen pro spojování lícovaných válcových součástí kde je požadována tepelná odolnost. Produkt vytvrzuje bez přístupu vzduchu ve spáře mezi lepenými kovovými povrchy a zabraňuje uvolnění či prosakování spoje, které je způsobené vibracemi a rázy. Typické aplikace Loctite 648 zahrnují upevňování ozubených a řetězových kol na hřídele převodových skříní a také upevňování rotorů na hřídele elektrických motorů nebo vymezení vůli ložiska v díře či na hřídeli.
