Shock absorbers
Shock absorbers slow down the impact of moving parts and protect the structure from impacts. They are used in automation, handling mechanisms, stops and machine fixtures.
When choosing, you need to know the stroke, damping force, thread or attachment, impact speed and weight of the moving part. A similar size does not necessarily mean the same energy absorption capacity.
- determine stroke and mounting thread
- estimate the mass and speed of the moving part
- verify mounting direction and stop space
- monitor heat-up and life for repeated cycles

For a shock absorber design, send a photo of the stop, stroke length and description of the movement. For fast cycles, the number of strokes per minute is also important.
