Chains
Chains are used for reliable transmission of motion where a more precise engagement than a belt is required. You can find them in conveyors, drives, agricultural machinery and industrial mechanisms.
The key information is the pitch, internal width, roller diameter and number of links. For special applications, the material, surface treatment, strength or resistance to dirt can also be decisive.
- measure the distance between the studs
- count the links or determine the required length
- verify sprocket compatibility
- for wear, check the extension of the chain and the condition of the teeth
