Electrical fuses protect equipment from overcurrent and malfunction. In industrial operation, they are used in switchboards, machines, sources and smaller electrical assemblies.
When choosing, it is necessary to observe the rated current, voltage, characteristics, breaking capacity and mechanical design. The same fuse size does not necessarily mean the same electrical properties.
- describe the current, voltage and characteristic from the fuse
- check body dimension and type of contacts
- distinguish between fast, slow and special fuses
- don't use a higher current just because the fuse blows repeatedly
