Application and mounting

Carries radial load and limited axial load in both directions.
The contact seal provides stronger protection than a metal shield, with correspondingly higher friction.
Where possible, orient the sealed side toward the principal of contamination or moisture.
The open side requires suitable lubrication and assembly protection; never transmit mounting force through the balls.

Important: Do not confuse single-sealed 6005 RS with open 6005, Z/2Z shielded versions or double-sealed 6005 2RS. Compare the complete designation and seal orientation before replacement.
