Bearing - BA 9 SKF

SKF BA 9 is a single-direction thrust ball bearing designed to carry axial load in one direction. Its separable construction simplifies mounting, dismounting and inspection of the individual components.

Design and mounting

The bearing consists of a shaft washer, a flat housing washer and a ball-and-cage assembly. The ground bore of the shaft washer enables an accurate interference fit. The separable components can be mounted individually, making maintenance and inspection easier.

Important: BA 9 is not designed for radial load. During installation, observe the correct orientation for the axial-force direction, keep the seating surfaces clean and ensure suitable lubrication and operating clearance. The stated speeds are SKF catalogue values; the actual limit depends on load, lubrication, temperature and mounting conditions.
