Bearing - 6000 ZR ZKL

6000 ZR ZKL is a single-row deep groove ball bearing with a metal shield on one side. The ZR design protects the rolling contact from one side with a non-contact shield running against the smooth shoulder of the inner ring; the opposite side remains open.

Design and lubrication

The ZR shield is retained in the groove of the outer ring and is not intended to be removed. Its non-contact design helps limit contaminant ingress from the shielded side while maintaining low friction. the ZKL catalogue, shielded bearings in the basic design are filled with grease for approximately −30 to +100 °C, briefly up to +120 °C; under normal operating conditions the grease usually lasts for the bearing service life and the bearing cannot be relubricated.

Loads and mounting

The deep raceways are intended primarily for radial load and also allow limited axial loads in both directions. During mounting, orient the shielded and open sides to suit the housing design, protect the open side from contamination and do not transmit mounting force through the rolling elements.
