6305 2Z ZKL is a single-row deep groove ball bearing with metal shields on both sides. The 2Z design protects the rolling contact with two non-contact shields; the shield seats are formed on the inner ring.

Shields and lubrication
The shields are retained in the groove of the outer ring and are not intended to be removed. Their non-contact design helps retain lubricant and limits the ingress of larger contaminants while maintaining low friction, but it is not watertight. the ZKL catalogue, shielded bearings in the basic design are filled with grease for approximately −30 to +100 °C, briefly up to +120 °C; under normal conditions the grease usually lasts for the bearing service life and the bearing cannot be relubricated.
Loads and mounting
The deep raceways are intended primarily for radial load and also accommodate limited axial loads in both directions. Apply mounting force through the ring with the interference fit, not through the rolling elements, and protect the shields from deformation.
