Full-complement drawn-cup needle roller bearing DL 4020 NADELLA

DL 4020 is an open needle roller bearing with a thin-walled drawn outer cup and a full complement of needle rollers. As it is supplied without an inner ring, a suitably prepared shaft surface serves directly as the inner raceway. Its radial section is only 4 mm, making it suitable for compact arrangements under high radial load.

The full complement of rollers increases radial load capacity but generally permits lower speeds than a caged design. The bearing is not intended to carry axial load; axial guidance must be provided by other machine elements.

When used as the raceway, the shaft must meet the hardness, accuracy, roundness and surface-finish requirements specified by NADELLA. Press the thin-walled cup into a dimensionally and geometrically correct housing bore using a suitable mounting mandrel; do not transmit mounting force through the rolling elements. Before installation, verify the complete DL 4020 designation and dimensions and provide the specified lubrication.
