Bearing flanges

Bearing flanges are structural components designed to secure bearings in supporting structures. They provide a flange surface for mounting bearing units and ensure a mechanical connection between the bearing and the machine frame.

Generally, they consist of a flange part with a central bore to accommodate the bearing and fastening holes to connect to the structure. The flange design and material selection are chosen based on operational and installation requirements.

In industrial installations, bearing flanges enable the transfer of loads between the bearing and the machine's supporting part and ensure repeatable positioning of the bearing during assembly. They are part of design solutions where a rigid and precise integration of bearings into equipment is required.
