Flexible couplings and dampers
Flexible couplings and dampers are mechanical components used in power transmission for the flexible connection of driving and driven parts of a drive. Their primary function is to transmit torque while limiting the direct transfer of shocks and vibrations between system components.
These components contain elastic elements that allow partial compensation of shaft misalignments and absorb load irregularities. Dampers focus on reducing oscillations and damping torsional pulsations in mechanical systems.
In industrial applications, flexible couplings and dampers are used in machine drives, conveyor systems and other machine assemblies where reliable power transmission is required while limiting mechanical shocks and vibrations.
