Labyrinth seals for bearings
Labyrinth seals are non-contact seals for rotating shafts and bearing arrangements. A series of narrow gaps and barriers helps prevent contaminant ingress and lubricant loss.
Because there is no rubbing contact, they add very little friction or wear. Check the groove geometry, clearances, speed, lubricant and operating environment.
