Timing belts
Timing belts are belts fitted with profiled teeth, designed for the synchronous transmission of torque between shafts. The tooth geometry ensures engagement with the corresponding pulley and allows precise control of rotational speed and the position of driven components.
Because of their function, timing belts are used where a synchronous, slip-free transmission is required. They are part of mechanical and industrial drives, automation systems and precision drives where reproducible positioning and transmission ratios are required.
For correct operation it is important that the timing belt matches the geometry of the pulleys and the operating conditions; replacement and installation must respect the drive design to maintain synchronous engagement and operational reliability.
- Synchronous transmission of torque
- Profiled teeth for engagement with the pulley
- Suitable for applications requiring precise positioning and repeatability
