Couplings (shaft, flexible, disc)

Couplings (shaft, flexible, lamellar) are mechanical elements designed to connect two rotating shafts and to transmit torque between them.

This group of couplings includes solutions with different design principles: some variants emphasize a rigid connection and precise transmission of rotational speed, others emphasize flexibility and compensation of misalignment. Depending on the construction, a coupling can also help to limit shocks and vibrations in the drivetrain.

Shaft couplings generally ensure the mechanical linking of shafts, flexible couplings contain elastic elements that allow deformation while providing the necessary flexibility, and lamellar couplings use lamella elements to transmit torque with a certain degree of elastic behavior.
