Needle cages
Needle cages hold the needles in the correct position and enable compact storage with high load capacity. They are used in transmissions, lever mechanisms, engines and other space-constrained assemblies.
When choosing, the inner diameter, outer diameter, width, number of needles and design of the cage are decisive. The quality of the shaft or ring on which the needles run is also important.
- measure the inside and outside diameter of the cage
- verify the width and number of needles
- check if the cage works with the inner ring or directly on the shaft
- do not overlook lubrication and cleanliness of the work area
