Fiber seals
Fiber seals are used as flat seals under fittings, plugs, connections and fittings. It is suitable for simple joints, where it is necessary to seal the bearing surface without a complex profile.
Inside diameter, outside diameter, thickness and media compatibility are important. Fiber is often used with water, oil or fuel, but temperature and pressure must always be considered.
- measure the inside and outside diameter of the washer
- verify thickness and bearing surface
- check the medium, temperature and pressure in the joint
- Do not use a damaged or repeatedly compressed seal
