Sealing and securing elements
Seals and securing elements prevent the leakage of lubricant, the penetration of dirt and spontaneous loosening of components. The correct selection has a direct effect on the service life of bearings, shafts and entire mechanical units.
Soft sealing parts and precise metal locking elements meet in this group. Each type requires different data: for seals, size and material, for fuses, groove, diameter and method of assembly.
The most common mistake is to confuse a similar diameter or use an unsuitable material for the oil, temperature or pressure. For securing elements, the correct standard and thickness are also critical.
- for gufers, measure shaft, body and width
- for O-rings, determine the inner diameter and cross-section
- for Seger fuses, verify type for shaft or hole
- for nuts and washers, check thread, bearing surface and load

When enquiring, please state the dimensions, material and place of use. For an old gasket or fuse, a detailed photo of the profile and mounting groove will often help.
